Applications open for the National Investment Scheme/ Record Fund of 20 million

Applications are open for the National Investment Scheme 2025 for the agricultural sector, offering an integrated financing package that includes soft loans and financial support through grants.

According to the announcement by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, on social networks, this scheme aims to increase competitiveness and strengthen innovation in the agri-food chain, while also ensuring compliance with EU standards for food safety.

Furthermore, it aims to achieve the government's ambitious target of exporting 1 billion euros of agricultural products by 2030. "To support agricultural development, the National Investment Scheme 2025 offers a record fund of 20 million euros, which are structured into nine support measures, which can be used by farmers and agricultural entities to develop personalized investment plans," emphasizes Minister Denaj.

The soft loan launched in January, with an interest rate of only 2% and 70% collateral from the state, is intertwined with the National Investment Scheme 2025 with a 50% grant, creating a complete financing package for the agricultural sector.

This program is open to individual farmers, as well as to companies with physical or legal status, who can apply for financial assistance through Agropikas or Regional Agricultural Extension Agencies in their area.

The National Investment Scheme 2025 offers 9 support measures:

• construction of new solar greenhouses for vegetable production,

• strawberries and table grapes;

• new plantings of fruit trees, olives, citrus trees and vineyards;

• anti-hail nets for existing trees, citrus trees and vineyards;

• drip irrigation systems in orchards and vineyards;

• construction of facilities for livestock and poultry breeding;

• mechanization and modernization of agricultural and livestock farms;

• processing and packaging equipment for vegetables, fruits, grapes, wine, olives and olive oil;

• investments in agritourism;

• fishing baskets and nets for aquaculture.

Applications are open from July 30 to September 30, and farmers can receive assistance from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development team for any questions or need for help.
