Businesses will have to submit financial statements to the National Business Center. According to an announcement on social networks, e-Albania informs that by July 31, 2025, all entities in accordance with the law must file with the National Business Center documents such as: Annual financial statements in Excel format; activity progress report; audit report, and the decision to approve financial statements, as required by law.

In the announcement published by e-Albania, entities are asked to submit financial statements on time, and not to leave it until the last day, but businesses should apply now.

If they do not submit them on time according to the law, they are fined 60 thousand lek, up from 15 thousand lek which was the fine last year.

According to the legislation, Law No. 9723, dated 03.05.2007, “On Business Registration”, as amended, entities must register and file annual financial statements, activity progress report and audit report, maintained according to legal requirements, in cases where the maintenance of these documents is mandatory, no later than 7 months from the date of closing each financial year, otherwise an administrative sanction of a fine is applied.

If an administrative offense has been imposed on the entity as a result of failure to file financial statements by July 31 of the reporting year, they must also attach the mandate for payment of the fine paid to one of the second-tier banks, a mandate which, in order to be classified as valid, must contain the data according to the collection invoice.
