The French choose Albania - They increased by 288.2%. "BFM Business" highlights prices, access and the Riviera

Albania is attracting more and more tourists from France, positioning itself among the destinations that have recorded the strongest growth in the French market this summer.
Data from the French Holiday Observatory, EDV–Orchestra, show that during July, French trips to Albania increased by 288.2% compared to the same period a year earlier. With this result, Albania ranked tenth among the destinations chosen by the French, at a time when traditional tourist destinations such as Greece, Italy, Portugal or Turkey recorded a decline.
The growing interest in Albania has also been brought to the attention of BFM Business, which has dedicated a piece to the boom in French travel to our country.
According to the French media, one of the factors that is making Albania more attractive is the relatively lower cost of holidays compared to consolidated Mediterranean destinations, such as Greece, Italy or Croatia. The material mentions the more affordable prices of food and accommodation, while another advantage is related to the increase in air connections and especially low-cost flights to Tirana.
But price is not the only element. BFM Business also highlights the Albanian Riviera, Ksamil, beaches with crystal clear waters, mountainous areas and cultural heritage, which, widely promoted on social networks, have increased Albania's exposure in the international market.
Prime Minister Edi Rama has also shared the BFM Business material on the increase in interest among French tourists on social networks, presenting it as another indicator of the performance of the tourism sector.
