Albania-Turkey Investment Forum - Balluku: Entrepreneurs who bring brands are exempt from taxes and fees for 10 years

The largest Albania-Turkey investment forum was held in Tirana, attended by over 1,500 people, including over 500 Turkish investors, as well as investors from the region. In this forum, the focus remains on economic development and trade exchanges between the two countries Albania-Turkey, and on the other hand, 4 sectors remain potential focus, such as construction, tourism, agriculture and technology.
In her speech, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, emphasized that Albania is a country with high investment potential, and that it is a country where fiscal incentives are applied.
"We are a country with one of the most favorable fiscal frameworks, with additional benefits for all foreign investors or new sectors such as tourism, energy, technology, agriculture and industry, where tax exemptions and other tax incentives are applied in Europe, with additional benefits for foreign investors. Albania applies a 5% tax on profit or a 15-year exemption from taxes for businesses located in technological or scientific parks. In agriculture and agrotourism, a 5% tax is applied, at least until 2029. The automotive industry again 5% profit until the end of 2029. Tourism is a sector where, with great effort, we are following in the footsteps that Turkey has taken 20 years before us, attracting elite brands and encouraging the world's biggest brands and names. For all those entrepreneurs who want to replicate this business story, bringing 4 or 5 star brands, 10 years are exempt from local taxes and fees. Cinematography is part of another increasingly powerful process of modern Turkey, or pension funds are completely exempt from taxes. I remember a blog that showed that some of the most famous actors in Turkey are part of that community of 5 million citizens who have a background or origin from Albanian land. We have every chance that the young Ezel, Bihteri saddened by lost passion, or the companions of Suleiman the Magnificent speak Albanian.”
On the other hand, the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, emphasized that Albania has become increasingly attractive to foreign investors.
“Albania has become increasingly attractive to foreign investors and in the first 6 months of 2025, it reached a record level of flows, reaching 759 million euros. This is also the highest flow ever recorded for a 6-month period.”
Turkey's Vice President, Cevdet Yilmaz, considers Albania to be Turkey's close neighbor, even though there are no land borders between the two countries.
"Although we do not have a land border, we consider Albania as our neighbor of the heart. Our relations have an ancient and glorious history that goes back more than 6 centuries."
