Energy efficiency in multi-family buildings - The Agency opens two tenders in Elbasan and Shkodër
The Agency for Energy Efficiency has opened two tenders for renovation with high energy efficiency in multi-family buildings respectively in the city of Elbasan and in the city of Shkodra. The main objective is to improve energy performance.
In Elbasan, interventions will focus on multi-family buildings built before the 90s.
Referring to the document, in these buildings with a height of up to 5 floors, numerous interventions in the facade and various additions made during the last years by the residents are evident. However, damages are observed on the facades, mainly as a result of humidity and atmospheric agents. The project includes auditing, certification and implementation of measures to increase energy performance.
In the city of Shkodra, the project is centered on a 6-story building positioned next to "Zogu Boulevard". The document states that the renovation will include increased thermal insulation and improved heating and lighting systems. This project will also include the use of alternative systems, taking advantage of renewable energy sources, to increase efficiency.
Both pilot projects include energy certification of buildings, in accordance with regulations on auditing and building performance, and are expected to contribute significantly to increasing the energy sustainability of cities.
Meanwhile, the limit fund of the project in Elbasan is 48 million and 512 thousand ALL, while the estimated value of the project in Shkodër is 42 million and 799 thousand ALL.
