"DURANA" with new energy infrastructure - Supply, 35 million lek

The electricity supply of the Durana Technology Park is expected to cost around 35 million lek. The Regional Directorate of the Distribution System Operator has opened the tender for this park, which is considered one of the largest public works in the country, seeking an appropriate electrical infrastructure to develop.

Durana Tech Park will be a space where Albanian and foreign businesses, innovative startups, academic institutions, scientific research and digital nomads will come together. This park will offer modern physical and virtual infrastructure, opportunities for investment and development, while aiming to become an important center for the creation of new technologies and innovative solutions for business, the state and society.

According to the tender documents, the performance of the existing network is low and dependent on the increased demand for energy consumption that this project will cause. For this reason, a secure solution is required to have a stable supply system.

The project envisages the construction of a new 20 KV medium voltage line, with a length of approximately 3 km, as well as a new substation, which will guarantee secure supply during the initial construction phase.

According to OSSH, as loads and energy demand increase, a connection to the nearby 35 KV line may be required, up to the construction of a dedicated substation. The project aims not only to supply the park on an ongoing basis, but also to ensure its long-term development.
