Customs, 24-hour service during the year-end holidays - Queues at border points are avoided for citizens and businesses

The end-of-year holidays are often accompanied by long lines at border crossings, due to emigrants choosing to celebrate this period with their families in Albania. On the other hand, there is also an increased influx from import-export businesses due to increased consumption.
To avoid long queues at the border, Albanian Customs has announced that all customs structures in the country will be fully operational 24 hours a day, during the year-end holidays, in order to guarantee uninterrupted service for citizens and businesses.
According to the official announcement, this measure comes within the framework of the implementation of a special organizational plan, which foresees the increase in operational capacities at customs points, to cope with the increased flow of goods and passengers that characterizes the end of the year.
Customs authorities have taken additional measures, including the engagement of additional staff, closer coordination between structures and strengthening controls, aiming to facilitate customs procedures, avoid delays and improve the quality of service.
At the same time, Albanian Customs emphasizes that these measures will also contribute to increasing the level of security at customs points, as well as to the smooth flow of goods, especially for businesses operating in the trade and import-export sector.
This commitment is expected to have a positive impact on economic activity during the holidays, supporting the supply chain and ensuring that market needs are met without obstacles, in a period of particular importance for consumers and businesses.
