Skopje, Spiropali is received by counterpart Mucunski: Support and determination for advancing the European journey
Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, has begun her official visit to Skopje, North Macedonia, where this morning she was received by Minister of Labor and Foreign Trade, Timčo Mucunski.
Spiropali said that "with my colleague Timčo Mucunski we share the vision, perspective and common determination to advance on the path towards EU integration."
Spiropali emphasized that "together with North Macedonia, Italy, Bulgaria and Romania, good work awaits us for the strategic project of Corridor VIII."
"The first forum, to be held in Tirana in February 2026, will further institutionalize the five-party cooperation for this project that serves Euro-Atlantic security, transformation and sustainable economic development in the region and beyond," said Spiropali.
Minister Mucunski stated that the deepening of relations between Albania and North Macedonia, two partner countries and allies in NATO, in itself serves the progress of our entire region.
Spiropali will be received during the day by the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, and the Speaker of Parliament Afrim Gashi.
Minister Spiropali will emphasize during this visit the importance of further advancing bilateral and regional ties.
