Check-Up and dialysis in the country/ Integrated Sterilization Services Operator expands competencies
The dialysis service and the National Basic Medical Check-Up Program will be administered by the Operator of Integrated Sterilization Services (OSHIS). With the recent decisions of the Council of Ministers, the public institution expands its responsibilities, after previously taking over the administration of the integrated sterilization service, becoming the public operator that will manage three national services of the health system.
During the inspection of OSHIS's logistics facilities, the Minister of Health, Evis Sala, said that this model aims to increase standardization.
"With the recent decisions of the Council of Ministers, OSHIS will also administer two national services with a direct impact on citizens: Check-Up and dialysis. This means more standardization, more control over quality, more efficiency and above all more safety for patients. We are building a strong public operator, capable of guaranteeing sustainable services with the same standards throughout the country. Sterilization is one of the most critical links in patient safety. The new center guarantees standardized processes, full quality control and traceability at every stage of the process, while simultaneously protecting patients and healthcare personnel. This is an investment that increases quality, reduces the risk of infections and strengthens trust in the public healthcare service," declared the minister.
The new administration model aims to guarantee the uninterrupted continuity of sterilization services in all public hospitals.
