"Financial system, resilient to risks"/ The Central Bank of Kosovo publishes the report for 2025

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has published the Financial Stability Report for 2025, which presents an assessment of developments in the financial system, risks to financial stability and the sustainability of the system in the face of adverse developments.
According to the report, Kosovo's financial system maintained high stability during 2025, despite global uncertainties, geopolitical tensions, inflationary pressures, and tighter financing conditions.
The CBK emphasizes that the sound financial position of financial institutions, the advanced regulatory and supervisory framework, as well as the macroprudential policies pursued by the CBK have strengthened the capacity of the financial system to absorb risks and maintain the stable functioning of financial intermediation.
"The overall assessment of the report is that risks to financial stability remain under control. The financial system continues to be characterized by a strong capital position, sufficient liquidity, good asset quality and stable funding sources, maintaining the ability to support the country's sustainable economic development even in less favorable scenarios. Also, progress in operational and cyber resilience, modernization of financial infrastructure and digitalization of financial services is increasing safety, efficiency and confidence in the financial system," the announcement says.
The CBK emphasizes that it will continue to implement prudent supervisory and macroprudential policies, in line with European and international standards, for the timely identification of risks and the maintenance of financial stability, contributing to the creation of conditions for sustainable economic growth.
