Budget, about 60.8 billion lek revenues in January - Total public spending reached about 45 billion lek
During the first month of the year, the state budget collected about 60.8 billion lek in revenue. Referring to preliminary data from the Ministry of Finance, the revenue collected from Taxes and Customs without contributions is 40.2 billion lek, while the revenue collected by the customs administration was realized in the amount of 16.4 billion lek.
A special item that has collected considerable revenue of 19.7 billion lek has been VAT on imports.
Meanwhile, excise revenues were collected in the amount of 4.9 billion lek, those from mineral royalties on export were 184 million lek, and revenues from customs duties were collected in the amount of 586 million lek.
Tax revenues collected by the tax administration amounted to 23.8 billion lek and revenues from VAT collected (net) amounted to 11.3 billion lek.
Personal income tax was collected in the amount of 7.1 billion lek, 1.4 billion lek or 25% more than January 2024.
On the other hand, general public expenditures for the first month of 2025 reached around 45 billion lek, with an implementation rate of 89.7% of the plan for the period. Meanwhile, current expenditures resulted in around 44.5 billion lek.
