"2025 is declared the year of the diaspora"! - Berisha calls on emigrants to register to vote in the May 11 elections
2025 will go down in our national history as the year of the Albanian diaspora. The statement was made by the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, referring to his meetings with emigrants in Greece and Italy.
"The diaspora living in free countries has an absolute determination to overthrow the narco-dictatorship and I tell you that these 200 thousand or so who have registered will be followed by at least another 200 thousand who will flood in from all over Europe to come and exercise their right to vote. It is the year of the diaspora. It is the year of the diaspora revolution."
The democratic leader has also called on immigrants to register to vote in the May 11 elections, which he believes will sign the salvation of Albania, in the few remaining hours.
Returning to the primary elections held the day before, Beerisha described it as the most democratic process the country has ever known. In this open competition, over 450 candidates were registered and around 51,000 DP members exercised their right to vote.
