"Plans for the construction of airports" - Rama, from the Tourism Fair in Berlin: We have the fastest growth in Europe
Albania has been selected as the "Country of Honor" for 2025 at the International Tourism Fair, taking place in Berlin, Germany.
During the press conference, held before the opening of the fair, Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke about the increase in the number of tourists and flights through the "Mother Teresa" airport, adding that Albania is in the top three of the World Tourism Organization's Charter, along with Qatar and Saudi Arabia with the fastest growth.
When asked about the policies the government plans to undertake to attract more airlines, Rama spoke about the construction of airports, adding that the Vlora airport is expected to begin operations this year.
During the conference, Rama was also asked about the development of road and maritime transport, as an alternative for tourists who want to visit Albania.
The International Tourism Fair in Berlin this year takes place on March 4-6.
