DP primaries: Official results announced for the country's 12 districts!

The Commission for the Organization and Control of Electoral Operations (KOKOE) of the Democratic Party announced the results of the primaries for the parliamentary elections of May 11, 2025 in all districts of the country. According to official data from the Democratic Party at the national level, a total of 50,854 members voted.

In the Tirana district, 13,052 members of the Democratic Party from Tirana participated in this process, while 82 candidates were in the race. According to the results, the most voted candidate in the Tirana district is Hysen Kadiu with 913 votes, followed by Grigels Muçollari with 666 votes, then comes Jorida Tabaku with 651 votes and Ilir Alimehmeti with 603 votes. The minimum quota calculated for the Tirana district is 144 votes.

In the Berat district, 2044 Democrats voted. The data reports that Zija Ismajli received more than 170 votes with 1091 votes, Ledion Marra with 306 votes, and Erion Dasho with 238 votes.

In the Korça district, 4,826 Democrats participated in the vote. The most voted in this district are Bledjon Nallbati with 1,219 votes, Ledina Alolli 394 votes, Andrea Mano 380 votes, Genti Çela 334 votes, Fidel Kreka 355 votes. The minimum quota calculated for the Korça district is 230 votes.

In the Kukës region, 2,640 Democratic members participated in the vote. The data shows that the most voted is Shkëlzen Ibra with 707 votes, followed by Shkëlqim Shehu with 430 votes and Isuf Çelaj who received 410 votes. The minimum quota for the Kukës region is 230 votes.

In the Lezha district, 3669 Democrats participated in the vote. The data shows that the most voted candidate is Gjin Gjoni with 674 votes, followed by Aleksandër Lala with 438 votes, while two deputies are listed next: Elda Hoti with 394 votes and Lindita Metaliaj with 348 votes. The minimum quota calculated for the Lezha district is 175 votes.

In the Durrës district, 4,922 Democrats participated. The most voted candidate in the Durrës district was former mayoral candidate Igli Cara with 622 votes, followed by Manjola Luku with 424 votes and Aulon Kalaja with 296 votes. The minimum quota calculated in the Durrës district is 126 votes.

In the Fier district, 4,580 Democrats participated. The most voted candidate in this district was Eduart Sharka with 795 votes, followed by MP Luan Baçi with 677 votes, while MP Saimir Korreshi received 477 votes. The minimum quota calculated for the Fier district is 191 votes.

In the Dibra district, 4,580 members participated. The most voted candidate in the Dibra district is Ilir Korsi with 578 votes, Denisa Vata with 362 votes, followed by Basir Çollaku. The minimum quota for the Dibra district is 147 votes.

In the Shkodra district, 4,451 members participated in the primaries. The most voted candidate was Ramadan Likaj with 470 votes, followed by former mayor Bardh Spahia with 386 votes. The minimum quota calculated for the Shkodra district is 135 votes.

In the Elbasan district, 3,927 members of the Democratic Party (DP) participated. The most voted in this district was MP Dashnor Sula with 538 votes, followed by Blendi Himçi with 510 votes and Ilirjan Alliu with 409 votes. The minimum quota calculated for the Elbasan district is 164 votes.

In the Vlora district, the most voted candidate is Ina Zhupa with 641 votes, followed by Atird Hoxha with 482 votes. The minimum quota for the Vlora district is 161 votes. As announced by the DP, the result does not include the Konispol VC, as its box was considered irregular by decision of the KOKOE and, therefore, does not become part of the final result.

In the Gjirokastra district, 1957 members of the DP participated. According to the results, the most voted candidate is Alma Buci with 399 votes. The minimum quota calculated for the Gjirokastra district is 178 votes. KOKOE forwarded the results to the leadership of the Democratic Party for further decision-making.
