Spring bonus distribution begins - Pensioners: The bonus helps, but we would prefer a pension increase!
"Starting today, all pensioners can withdraw the spring bonus. Pensioners who receive up to 20 thousand lek in pension will benefit 10 thousand lek, while those who receive over 20 thousand lek will benefit 5 thousand lek."
This bonus can be withdrawn until September 30 of this year. Meanwhile, for all pensioners who have not yet withdrawn their year-end bonus, the deadline to receive it is June 30, 2025.
The government has decided that bonuses will be permanent and differentiated. So, every year, pensioners in the country will receive two bonuses: one at the end of the year and the other in the spring, differentiated depending on their monthly payment.
Currently, the Ministry of Finance, the Social Security Institute and the Financial Supervisory Authority, with international support, have begun work to reform the pension scheme, with the aim of increasing the value of the monthly pension.
