Transparency Board sets new fuel prices

The Transparency Board has approved today the new selling prices for fuels in the country. According to the decision, the price of diesel (gasoil) for retail sale will be no more than 203 lek/liter, while for wholesale sale no more than 191 lek/liter.
Meanwhile, the price of gasoline for retail sale has been set at a maximum of 180 lek/liter, while for wholesale no more than 168 lek/liter.
These prices came into effect today, April 29, at 11:30 AM and will remain in effect until the next Board meeting, where new changes in the market will be reflected.
The authorities have called on all operators trading petroleum by-products to strictly implement the decision, warning of strict measures, up to and including suspension of activity, in case of violations.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, emphasize that they are committed to protecting consumers and ensuring fair competition in the market.
In an official clarification, it is announced that current prices are below the limits set by Normative Act No. 1, dated April 3, 2026. Consequently, the excise duty level on fuels will be applied in full, at 100%.
