"Black Friday", the discount race begins in the market - Senko: Businesses should present themselves with real prices

November has brought not only national celebrations, but also a huge discount race in the Albanian market. Businesses have started offering deals, while the peak is expected to be "Black Friday", which has already become a strong consumer tradition.
Major supermarket chains, fashion stores, electronics and many other businesses have launched discounts of up to 70%. But how do these offers affect sales?
"Since the last days of November coincide with the Independence and Liberation holidays, but also Black Friday, almost every business launches its own discounts on these days. Everywhere we see offers, price reductions, gift bonuses and of course, during this period, these are the days that customers wait to make their purchases. Of course, a large influx of customers is noticed and sales increase," said Egi Senko, Marketing Specialist.
However, despite the numerous offers, there are concerns about abuses with fictitious prices or unfair competition between businesses.
"There will always be room for artificial pricing, as any entity, taking advantage of holidays and promotions, can set some unrealistic prices, 'lying' to the customer. From my experience, I suggest that businesses present themselves with real prices, competing not only with prices but also with the quality of the product and the way we communicate with our customers. Competition is present every day ," she said.
Discounts are no longer just in store windows. In a market that is increasingly oriented towards digitalization, social networks and business websites turn this period into a marathon of postings, directly influencing the way citizens make purchasing decisions.
