Who are the candidates for the leadership of INSTAT? - The vision of the Institute of Statistics for the next 5 years

Three candidates have expressed interest in leading the Statistical Institute of Albania for the next 5 years. During the hearing in the Economy Committee, Elsa Dhuli, who is running for re-election for this position, Ledjon Shahini and Lantona Sado have revealed their experience and vision for the future of this institution.
Elisa Dhuli, Candidate for Director General of INSTAT:
"The challenge is territorial reform, a new 5-year program that serves as a guide for innovation and orients us for development and direction in the coming periods. An updated legal framework, private data holders are needed, modern systems and investments in digitalization for the process of production and communication of statistics."
Ledjon Shahini, Candidate for Director General of INSTAT:
“My vision is based on three main pillars. Standardization of data production, digital transformation and modernization of processes, and transparency and interaction with users.”
Lantona Sado, Candidate for Director General of INSTAT:
"The areas in which I believe energies and resources should be directed are different but interconnected, re-evaluating the scope of statistics and data management. Investing in technology and improved infrastructure. Strengthening human resources and optimizing financial resources. Strengthening cooperation and internationalization."
The Director of the Institute of Statistics has a 5-year mandate and is eligible for reappointment once. Since November 2020, INSTAT has been headed by Elsa Dhuli.
