Begaj in the Vatican for the inauguration ceremony of Pope Leo XIV
The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, headed the Albanian delegation that participated in the Vatican at the inauguration ceremony of Pope Leo XIV, which was attended by important personalities from different countries of the world.
The Head of State also had a meeting with Pope Leo XIV, to whom he expressed his warmest congratulations on the occasion of his election as Holy Father and Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church.
The President of the Republic also congratulated the Holy Father for his mission in preserving peace and building bridges of dialogue in a world filled with challenges and insecurity. President Begaj emphasized that his spiritual leadership represents a voice that gives hope, compassion and unity among people.
At this ceremony, the President was accompanied by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, and the Ambassador of Albania to the Holy See, Majlinda Frangaj.
