Works progress on the Elbasan-Papër road construction site - Part of Corridor VIII, 46% of the project is completed
Works are being accelerated on the Elbasan-Papër segment, part of Corridor VIII. Very soon, the highway is expected to become functional for traffic. According to ARRSH, works on this site are continuing at a good pace, the physical implementation of the project has reached 46%.
This authority announces that the works for the excavation of the road body have been completed and the works for the works of art, such as: gabion walls, manholes and boxes, are nearing completion. In parallel, work is also being done on the river protection (piles).
This investment, part of Corridor VIII, will improve road traffic with high safety conditions and standards. Upon completion of the works, this will be a category A highway that meets all European traffic conditions and criteria.
Corridor VIII is one of the important Pan-European corridors that crosses Albania and is considered a strategic investment in infrastructure.
