AMA, cooperation with Portugal in the audiovisual field - Agreement / Common legal framework, media education and content monitoring
The creation of a legal framework for increasing cooperation in the audiovisual field and mutual assistance, between the regulators of the two countries".
This is the purpose of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the Albanian Audiovisual Media Authority and the Portuguese Media Regulatory Authority.
The agreement was signed by AMA president Armela Krasniqi and her counterpart Helena Sousa, within the 22nd Plenary meeting of the European Audiovisual Media Regulatory Group.
The memorandum is based on 3 important pillars, which are: Media education, audiovisual content monitoring methodology and expert exchange programs.
"It is a very important memorandum for the future of our institution. We hope to cooperate in areas such as quantitative and qualitative media monitoring, media education, technology and other areas. We will exchange as much information as possible with each other regarding all the challenges that our regulators have", - said the president of the AMA.
While Sousa expressed the certainty of continuing the cooperation in a deeper, more demanding and more exciting way".
Based on the Memorandum of Cooperation, for the monitoring of broadcast content, the two authorities will exchange information on software technology used for audiovisual content, including digital platforms, online streaming and other innovative technologies.
Common methods for monitoring broadcast content will also be developed, including content analysis, independent content assessments and periodic audits, to ensure compliance with authority standards, and knowledge and experience related to equipment will be shared. advanced for monitoring broadcast content
