"Loyal" Albanians of Korean cars - For 10 months, over 16 thousand vehicles imported from Korea
The import of cars in Albania continues to grow from month to month. Referring to the Open Data data of the General Directorate of Road Services, in total in the period January-October of this year, 84,486 cars were registered, where 70,635 are cars. Vehicles that have been registered for the first time lead the most in the month of July with around 10,700 cars.
But which countries lead their import?
Korean cars lead in terms of import, ranking first and in the span of 10 months of this year, a total of over 16,000 cars were registered. Italy is the second country from which we import more cars with over 15 thousand and then Germany with 14,800 vehicles.
The capital has the highest number of registrations for the first time with 35,600 vehicles, while Durrës ranks second with around 13,400 cars.
According to the same data, registered vehicles according to the type of owner, about 78% are individuals who import and about 22% are entities. Meanwhile, according to the age of the cars, the lead is imported cars that are 9-15 years old, which account for about 53% of the total.
