AKU blocks over 2.4 tons of meat products and dried fruits
The National Food Authority announces that it has carried out inspections in the Agro-Food market in Tirana, in entities that traded products of animal origin, following a complaint received for the trading of unsafe food products.
According to the announcement, during the inspections carried out in five entities, 197.5 kg of unsafe products (kaçkavall cheese and dried fruits), as well as 2214.2 kg of products lacking labeling (salami and dried fruits) were found.
The NFA informs that for the violations found by the inspection body, a total of 7 administrative measures with fines were imposed, for the trading of unsafe food, lack of traceability and lack of labeling, in the total value of 1,600,000 lek.
The NFA informs that it will continue field inspections with the aim of guaranteeing food safety and protecting consumer health.
