Anti-informality action in properties - Pipiria: To be extended to the entire spectrum of real estate transactions

The tax administration is continuing its campaign of inspections of real estate agencies to formalize the market and protect consumers from abusive prices.
The cases identified show concealment of income from commissions, where recently in a real estate agency in Vlora, around 920 thousand euros of undeclared income were found.
But how do these actions affect this market? In an interview for SCAN, TV, the Executive Director of the Real Estate Association (NAREA), Reinaldo Pipiria, emphasizes that the sector is open to any control, but according to him, the action should be extended to the entire spectrum of transactions.
"We have become the object of the sector. We hope that all steps and the darkest corners where all the problems really are are investigated. We are open to scrutiny. If it extends to the entire spectrum of real estate transactions, it is a healthy action. But if it is in one sector alone, it discourages the healthy."
As part of the operational plan in the construction sector, for months now the General Directorate of Taxes has been continuing investigations throughout the sector, based on risk analysis and advanced use of data.
The action will continue without interruption until the total formalization of the real estate sector.
