131 luxury cars seized - From Lamborghini to Rolls Royce, the value of the vehicles is estimated at around 174 million lekë
From 2018 to 2024, the Agency for the Administration of Sequestered and Confiscated Assets (AAPSK) has seized a total of 131 vehicles, trucks, buses, vans, motorcycles, trailers, dinghies, boats and ships. The Agency has recently published a catalog that provides detailed data on the type of movable assets and their value.
With the exception of the 2 vehicles for which no value is given, the other 129 seized vehicles have a total value of 174 million lek. A significant part of the seizures result in luxury cars such as Lamborghini Huracan, Maserati Ghibli, Rolls Royce Phantom, Audi, Lexus, Range or Land Rover SUVs. However, there is no shortage of cars from the Mercedes Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, Volkswagen Golf, Toyota Yaris, Renault, Volvo, Fiat Punto and others.
A smaller number of assets are depreciated and are not ready for reuse.
According to sources from the Agency, in 2018 only 2 seizure decisions were made, in 2021 and 2022 several other decisions are reported, while 2023 and 2024 result in the largest number of seizure and confiscation decisions.
Meanwhile, according to the annual report of this institution, during 2024 alone, 63 movable assets, vehicles, motor vehicles were seized and only 12 were confiscated. In total, about 125 movable assets seized and 31 confiscated are currently under the administration of the Agency.
This Agency has recently published 2 other catalogs with the number and characteristics of immovable properties seized and confiscated.
The Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets receives from the State Police and administers assets seized and confiscated from crime groups or other persons. These assets, which pass into the hands of the state, the Agency has as its objective the sale or alienation of assets that cannot be used, or those that lose value over time.
