1 thousand businesses, in focus of digitalization - Albania establishes the national center of digital innovation

Albania aims to accelerate the digital transformation of business through artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. Several changes to the Business Development and Investment Strategy 2021–2027 have been published in the Official Gazette, which foresees a new measure for industrial digitalization and access to artificial intelligence.
The focus is on the creation and strengthening of the European Digital Innovation Hub, which will function as a national support point for businesses, startups and public institutions.
The center will provide services for testing technologies before investment, training, technical consulting, and support for integrating artificial intelligence solutions into business processes.
According to the document, the objective is for over 1,000 entities to benefit from digitalization services, while around 2,000 professionals to be trained in advanced technological skills.
Another important component is Albania's connection to the European artificial intelligence infrastructure through the EuroHPC program. This will enable local enterprises to access advanced computing capacities and cloud platforms, without the need for large private investments.
The measure also envisages strengthening the cybersecurity of industrial systems and integrating Albanian businesses into European innovation networks.
According to the strategy, the ultimate goal is to increase the competitiveness of Albanian industry and its greater inclusion in the European Union's value chains.
