The situation with fires in some of the most problematic areas of the country is improving. According to the announcement of the National Civil Protection Agency, 64 firefighting vehicles, 631 operational forces, 90 Armed Forces personnel, 3 helicopters and 1 Air Tractor aircraft of the Air Force have been engaged in the operations to isolate and extinguish them.

Firefighting efforts continue in the Dajti area, with the Air Force's "Air Tractor" aircraft supporting the operation, while there is no danger to residential areas.

In the villages of Riban and Ngraçan, Mallakastër municipality, the situation is moving towards isolation thanks to the coordinated intervention of operational forces from land and air. Firefighters from several municipalities, police and local structures, volunteers, Armed Forces personnel, helicopters and the “Air Tractor” aircraft have been engaged in the operation. Four families have been temporarily evacuated for security reasons.

In the Elbasan region, work continues on the fires in Shqiponjë, Dardhës Mountain and the village of Mjekës. The fire in Shqiponjë is under control, the fire in Dardhës Mountain has been isolated, while in Mjekës, work continues on the final extinguishing. There is no reported danger to residential areas.

In Kostren, Berat municipality, the area is being combed and monitored. In Pocest, Dibër municipality, the fire has been extinguished after the intervention of operational forces, while the fires in the Stegopull–Selckë area and in Levenishtë, Gjirokastër district, have been extinguished and are being monitored.

As a result of the fires, approximately 34.5 hectares of grass, shrubs, pines and mixed forest have been affected, while the area affected by active fires remains under assessment.
