Ursula Von der Leyen, in Pristina – Meetings with President Osmani and Acting Prime Minister Kurti

During her tour of the Western Balkans, the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, was received in Pristina by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.
According to a press release from the Presidency of Kosovo, during the meeting, Osmani emphasized the commitment of the Republic of Kosovo to the reform agenda within the framework of the Growth Plan, underlining the importance of their implementation and close cooperation with the European Union in this process.
Osmani reiterated the importance of granting Kosovo the status of a candidate country for EU membership. The Head of State also emphasized to Von der Leyen the necessity of lifting the unfair measures that the EU has imposed on Kosovo, for which the EC had also confirmed that they should be lifted.
Afterwards, the head of the European Commission also held a meeting with the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.
