In the Balkans, the most expensive beer is drunk in Albania/ Numbeo: We lead the region with the highest price of imported beer
Numbeo, the well-known comparative data platform, has recently published information regarding the price of imported beer for several European countries. According to this data, Albania ranks 23rd among the 40 countries included in the study.
In Albania, the average price of a 0.33 liter bottle of beer is around $2.05, which puts our country at an average price compared to other European countries. This positions Albania above the regional average.
At the top of the list, with the highest beer prices, are the countries of Northern Europe. Norway holds the first place, where a 0.33 liter bottle of imported beer costs $ 3.95. Behind it, are other wealthy countries such as Finland ($ 3.68), Ireland ($ 3.61) and the United Kingdom ($ 3.20).
Meanwhile, Albania has the highest price of beer in the Balkans. Montenegro holds the 31st place, with a price of $1.71 per bottle. It is followed by Serbia ($1.64) and Kosovo ($1.43), where the price is lower than in Albania.
At the bottom of the list, in terms of region and Europe, are North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have the lowest prices for imported beer at $1.38 and $1.20 per 0.33 liter, respectively.
An interesting fact is that Albania has a more expensive price than some highly developed countries. This shows that, although Albania ranks among the countries with average beer prices, it is at a higher level compared to other European countries, such as Germany ($1.63), Poland ($1.65) and the Czech Republic ($1.95), which are known for their tradition and high beer consumption.
