Tirana International Airport continues to remain one of the most important transport hubs in the country, both in terms of passenger traffic and the number of flights operated during 2025. According to data published by the European Statistical Agency, around 67 thousand flights were operated throughout the year, making this airport a key hub for air connections in the region. This figure translates into an average of 185 flights per day, or around 5,600 flights per month, which indicates a high level of activity and continuous demand.
Regarding the number of passengers, Tirana Airport has published detailed statistics on travel flows and the most frequented destinations. According to these data, during the year, flights were made possible to 106 different destinations, while the number of passengers fluctuated depending on the months and tourist season, with a significant increase during the summer period.
If we analyze the 11-month passenger data, it turns out that in total, about 10.8 million passengers traveled to and from Tirana Airport. On average, during this period, about 32 thousand passengers were registered per day, a clear indicator of the increase in demand for air transport. The month with the highest flow was August, where about 1.4 million passengers passed through this airport.
In terms of the most popular destinations, flights to London top the list with around 866 thousand passengers, ranking it as the most frequented destination. Overall, these data confirm the increasingly important role of Tirana International Airport in the development of mobility, tourism and the country's connection to European and international markets.
