October marked another record for tourism and cross-border movements, confirming the steady growth rate that Albania has experienced throughout the year. According to the latest statistics, during this month, around 1.57 million Albanian and foreign citizens entered the country, an increase of 14.1% compared to October 2024. The same upward trend is also observed in exits from the territory, where 1.54 million exits were recorded, marking an increase of 15.6%.

In terms of division by citizenship, 668 thousand Albanians have entered the territory, with an increase of 7.7%, while the number of foreigners significantly exceeds this figure, reaching 908 thousand entries, with an increase of 19.3%. The outflow has been equally dynamic, with 659 thousand Albanian citizens leaving the country (+5.6%), as well as 886 thousand foreigners, a strong increase of 24.4% compared to the previous year.

The overall picture of the first 10 months of the year reinforces this positive trend. Albania welcomed 11.1 million foreign visitors, registering an increase of 6.7% compared to the same period in 2024. These figures place the country in a stable position as one of the most sought-after destinations in the region.

The geographical structure of visitors remains dominated by Europe, which accounts for 95% of foreign arrivals in October. Within the continent, Southern Europe holds the main weight with 73%, followed by Western Europe with 12% and Central/Eastern Europe with 6%. This profile demonstrates the strong tourist and economic ties that Albania has built with major European markets.

Regarding travel motives, 98% of foreign arrivals were for personal purposes, an indicator that marked an increase of 19.7% compared to October of the previous year. Meanwhile, arrivals for business and professional purposes marked a more moderate increase of 3.8%, indicating a steady expansion of economic and professional activities in the country.
