"Ylli", the virtual assistant for farmers - Salla: Monitoring, real-time information on the market and subsidies

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, presented "YLLI", the first virtual assistant for the Albanian farmer based on Artificial Intelligence, part of the Farmer's Portal.
During his speech, Minister Salla emphasized that digital transformation is now a necessity for the agricultural sector, faced with challenges related to climate change, increasing production costs, market competition and the need to meet European standards.
"Digital Agriculture for Albania 2030 is not simply a strategic vision, but a concrete transformation program for the way we produce and develop Albanian agriculture in the coming years. Our objective is clear, to build a more productive, more competitive, more formalized, more transparent and more integrated agriculture with the European Union. Today we are introducing one of the elements that will be the assistant of every farmer on every phone. 'YLLI' is the first digital assistant of the Albanian farmer, based on artificial intelligence. It is always ready to provide immediate and practical assistance to farmers, listening, communicating and responding in real time in the Albanian language ," declared Salla.
The Minister announced that through the portal, prices of markets and collection points will also be published in real time, while adding that digitalization will also extend to the monitoring of parcels through intelligent sensors, which will provide information in real time.
"Through the application, farmers will be able to orient themselves, communicate with each other and obtain any necessary information at the national level. Considering the problems and complaints of farmers in relation to the collection points, from now on the prices published by these points will also be online", he emphasized.
During the activity, Minister Andis Sala emphasized the role of young people and technology in the development of modern agriculture, while at the conclusion, the functioning of the Farmer's Portal and the "Ylli" virtual assistant was demonstrated live, through a real-time application by a farmer for the National Support Scheme 2026.
