"Local self-government for sustainable development"/ The new territorial reform, the future of Has municipality
"Local Self-Government for Sustainable Development" was the activity developed within the framework of discussions on the new territorial reform that aims to promote a constructive debate on the future of the Municipality of Has, strengthening local government, protecting culture and identity, as well as offering factually based suggestions for a fair and sustainable reform.
It was attended by representatives of the Special Commission for Territorial and Administrative Reform, deputies of the Kukës Region, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Albania, intellectuals and experts from various fields. The discussions focused on local development, cultural heritage and the role of the diaspora in the future of Has.

A few days ago, the Minister of Local Government, Ervin Demo, said that the work on the territorial reform must continue at a rapid pace, or otherwise the new territorial map will not be ready before the 2027 local elections. He asked for tours of the territory to continue, to listen to citizens and interest groups.
