Businesses and individuals, 80.1 million euros in revenue from "Booking"/ Taxes: 17,225 entities on the platform, declare through DIVA
Albanian hotels and citizens who use the "Booking" platform for room reservations or short-term rentals have generated a total revenue figure of 80.1 million euros during the period January-September 2025.
The Tax Administration announces that it has data on reservations and sales made through the "Booking" platform, which shows that there are 17,225 registered businesses and individuals that have made accommodation sales through this platform.
According to the General Directorate of Taxes, the commissions paid to the platform by citizens and businesses alone are around 12.8 million euros.
For this reason, the tax administration calls on individuals who have earned income from providing accommodation through this platform to declare it in the Annual Personal Income Declaration - DIVA 2025.
Meanwhile, businesses must verify whether their declarations are consistent with Booking's data to avoid becoming subject to tax reassessments.
Failure to declare income constitutes a violation of tax legislation and entails penalties according to legal provisions. The deadline for completing DIVA 2025 is March 31, 2026.
Meanwhile, entities that generate income through the "Airbnb" booking platform also have the same obligation.
