Only 12.8% of those who have their license revoked get it back - Procedure, re-registration at the driving school
As part of the initiative to increase road safety and restore responsibility to drivers, the retesting sessions for citizens who have lost their driving license points have been restarted.
According to the most recent data published by the General Directorate of Road Transport Services, since the beginning of the campaign in June 2022, 1711 candidates have been re-registered in the driving school, but only 219 citizens or 12.8% of those who have had their driving license revoked after violating the traffic rules, they regain it.
Whereas, the latest statistics for the year 2025 show that out of 15 candidates who re-registered for the test and 13 who appeared physically for the exam, none of them managed to pass the test. These results prove the level of difficulty, to get back on the road as a driver.
DPSHTRR calls on citizens to commit to improving their knowledge as drivers. For this, they are invited to use the opportunities offered for preparation, including the Code of Conduct Program, online exercises, etc.
