Board decision, how much is oil being sold on the market? - Ceiling 203 lek per liter, measures for operators who do not respect it

The retail oil and gasoline market in the country is operating within the price ceiling limits set by the Transparency Board.
From an observation made on Friday at retail outlets, it results that prices range from 200-203 lek/liter for diesel and from 172-175 lek/liter for gasoline.
In its first meeting held the day before, the Transparency Board decided that the retail price of the gasoil by-product should not exceed 203 lek/liter, while the wholesale price should not exceed 191 lek/liter.
While the retail price of the gasoline by-product should be no more than 175 lek/liter, while the wholesale price should be no more than 163 lek/liter.
The prices set by the Board came into effect on March 26 at 6:30 p.m. and will be valid until the next board meeting where the changes in sales prices will be reflected.
The Transparency Board, since its creation, has adhered in its decisions to the movement of the Mediterranean Plats exchange for diesel, gasoline, as well as the official invoices of the operators.
The Board does not set the prices of crude oil, but of diesel, gasoline and liquefied gas according to the standards set out in the Normative Act. The Board has set maximum gross margins for wholesale and retail sales, with which operators must cover all operating costs.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, are committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and preserving the principles of fair competition in the market.
Wholesale and retail operators of petroleum by-products are obliged to implement this decision. In case of violations found by various operators, the suspension of activity has been announced.
