Western tourists prefer Albania - War in the Middle East is diverting tourism

More and more Europeans are choosing Albania for their vacation. This is due to the wide tourist offer that our country offers.
However, the war in the Middle East is changing the global travel trend, as many popular destinations currently feel unsafe for tourists. This means more visitors for our country.
"This is a plus for us, but it's not just that, since Albania has been promoted for years and has now reached a peak that tourists themselves seek out as a destination. We are seeing that in the first months of the year there are very large influxes of tourists, mainly from all over Europe, but also from the world and very soon we are also expecting Canadian tourists in large numbers. Not that they have been absent so far, but since direct flights will also be introduced, this will help a lot to bring in tourists from another continent. Travelers from the Middle East have now stopped and are no longer coming. We hope that the war will end as soon as possible and these tourists will return ," says Fiorida Zani, Tour Operator.
But does Albania have the opportunity to offer services similar to those of the Middle East, which are known for their high level of luxury?
"We are not at the stage where we can offer all the possible services that are offered around the world, because we are in a development phase. Of course, we have luxury resorts and hotels, but tourists who want this luxury have a hard time finding it at every stage of their journey, because it lacks in some services," says the expert.
Zani also shows which countries from Albania attract tourists and how trends are changing.
"It is Europeans, the western part of Europe, but also the eastern and central parts, who use it more for the beach area. There is also increased interest from the English, the Spanish, the French who are filling the southern coast, especially Saranda. We used to have Serbs who preferred Saranda, but the French are more elite and demand better services," says Zani.
Despite the fact that their countries may have a very good tourist offer, Zani emphasizes that many European visitors choose Albania as a destination, due to the interweaving of the coast, nature, cuisine, and culture.
