Property tax, when will the fiscal cadastre be ready? - Additional 20 million euros, Malaj: We close it in June
The government anticipates collecting nearly 20 million additional euros from the property tax in 2025.
During the discussions in the parliamentary Committee of Economy and Finance, the deputies raised the question of where this money will be generated and when the fiscal cadastre will be ready.
The Minister of Finance has stated that from June 2025, the fiscal cadastre, which will serve to collect the property tax, will be fully functional.
"As for the fiscal cadastre, it is in the process, we are being assisted by the Swedish agency SIDA, the cadastre will be fiscal from June 2025, it is being populated with updated data from and as soon as it is populated it will be ready to be used by the units of local self-government".
The minister stated that the income for 2025 is expected to increase to 40.6 billion ALL.
"There are three main factors that influence the growth of income in 2025, the macroeconomic framework where GDP growth is presented by 3.9 percent, the second factor is income from wages and contributions and the effect of previous tax policies, the third factor is income from administration and from the implementation of the medium-term income strategy. For 2025, a new fiscal package has not been drawn up that will generate additional income, and for the first time the improvement in income comes from the administration and reduction of information and not from new fiscal measures".
The MPs have asked to increase the budget and accommodate the increase in pensions, proposing an increase of at least 25 percent.
