Installment schemes for the repayment of obligations to OSHEE: 1000 entities

Installment payment schemes for arrears to the Universal Service Provider (USP) and the Electricity Distribution System Operator (EDSO) are proving to be a valuable opportunity for businesses and household subscribers, significantly easing the financial burden and formalizing their relationships with energy institutions.

Over the last year, around 1,000 entities have applied for these schemes, benefiting from a reduction in late payment interest of 50% to 100%, as a result of repaying electricity obligations in a single installment.

The Electricity Distribution Operator (OSHEE Group) has been implementing new facilitation schemes (agreements) for the installment payment of arrears from electricity bills since July of this year.

Through agreements, OSHEE Group offers the possibility of paying accumulated liabilities until December 31, 2023, supporting the most vulnerable groups and small businesses.

The agreements include: family clients with economic assistance, retired heads of household and persons with special status, who can repay their obligations with fixed monthly installments starting from 1,200 lek. Other family clients will benefit from fixed monthly installments starting from 2,800 lek.

In order to maintain an affordable and fair standard, the maximum number of installments will not exceed 240 installments. In any case, the client has the right to choose a payment installment, with a value higher than the minimum value, while adhering to the condition of a maximum of 240 installments.

To benefit from the settlement schemes, subscribers must have paid off their obligations for 2024 and the first months of 2025. Those who have new debts during this period must pay them off before applying for the settlement.

The authorities call on all subscribers who have overdue obligations to take advantage of the settlement packages currently offered.
