''Annual pension increase scheme''/ Rama: Additional individual fund too

Prime Minister Rama announced today that an annual pension increase scheme has been established and that a new support column for the pension system is being prepared.
In the podcast “FLASIM – Between the waves of the sea and the green field”, the Prime Minister stated that the current pension increase scheme is stabilized and is being continued at an escalating pace in the coming years.
''We have stabilized and put into motion an annual pension increase scheme, what has increased this January will double next January, triple in January 2028, quadruple in January 2029 and quintuple in January 2030.
We are also preparing another pillar of the pension scheme, which is complementary to the current system, the central pension pillar, creating a new space and a second opportunity for support for the future.
The idea is very simple: every employee who chooses to contribute a small amount from his salary, for example 1 euro per month, will have an equal contribution from the other party, the state or the employer in the private sector. In this way, the contribution doubles and, month after month, an individual fund is created, which is added to the pension that is normally received from the first pillar, the existing scheme.
This is absolutely not something "Albanian", because we do not do such things; we are learning from the best experiences and trying to bring here proven models. So, it is a well-known model that creates the possibility of the gradual creation of a pension fund, for more security for the individual and for a more stable connection between the employee and the employer, the state or the private sector. A financial security mechanism for the elderly and, I repeat, a complementary mechanism that does not affect, but strengthens the current mechanism'' - said Prime Minister Rama.
