Situation in areas affected by bad weather - Work continues to secure road axes and restore electricity

The National Civil Protection Agency has announced that all local structures and operational teams are continuing their work on the ground to normalize the situation in areas affected by bad weather, to secure road axes and to restore electricity.

Work continues to normalize the situation in the villages of Gjorm, Zhejë and Fushë Mamurras in the Mamurras administrative unit, Kurbin municipality.
The road in the village of Shpërtheth remains damaged by the waters of the Droje River, but is being worked on by forces on the ground.
Work is also continuing to ensure traffic flow on the Skuraj-Gallatë road segment, Milot administrative unit, but also in the Kaçinar administrative unit, where the bridge in the village of Shpërdhezë was damaged by intense rainfall.
It is learned that in Durrës County, in the administrative units of Sukth, Katund i Ri and Ishëm, the situation is returning to normal, the waters have been withdrawn from the affected areas, while the water level in the Erzen and Ishëm rivers is within normal quotas. The hydroelectric dams in Porto Romano and Hamallaj continue to operate at full capacity.
Meanwhile, in the Gjirokastra Region, there is increased water presence on the Gjirokastra-Tepelena road segment, on the Kardhiqi bridge and on the river bridge roundabout in the city of Gjirokastra.
Regarding the electricity supply situation, it is moving towards normality in the affected areas.
OSHEEE teams are continuing work to restore power supply.
-in the villages of Skuraj, Vinjollë and Gallatë, in the Lezha region
- in the administrative units of Topojan, Shishtavec, Zapod, Bytyç and Lekbibaj in the Kukës region
- In the administrative units of Hajmel and Vig–Mnelë (Vau-Dejës municipality), as well as in Iballë and Qafë-Mali (Fushë-Arrëz municipality) in the Shkodra region
- In the Maricaj, Memaliaj area, in the Gjirokastra district
The Ministry of Defense and the National Civil Protection Agency remain on full alert and in constant contact with local structures and emergency teams, to take measures in the event of worsening weather conditions.
