How to ensure economic growth and higher wages? Experts: Government should focus on supporting the manufacturing sector
Economic experts suggest that, in this 4-year mandate, the Albanian government should provide more support to the manufacturing sector, in order to ensure sustainable economic growth and higher wages.
The socialist government's program foresees, in this 4-year mandate, an increase in salaries and pensions, a review of some taxes, infrastructure projects and the implementation of fiscal peace, which will constitute the 3 main pillars; "European Albania", "Sustainable Economic Growth" and "Well-being for All". Economic expert, Genti Beqiri, states that in order to achieve sustainable economic growth, the government should focus on sectors that offer such a thing, such as production.
Meanwhile, the Rural Development and Innovation Engineer, Fatos Fico, considers the plan to include farmers in the VAT refund scheme a positive development.
For the lecturer and economics expert, Leons Hasani, the Albanian government is forced to implement several important reforms, also due to the objective "Albania in the EU in 2030".
Regarding the increase in salaries and pensions, employment and career development expert Erion Muça states that the private sector is lagging behind the government and businesses should think more about employees.
