Digital Albania, Nancy VanHorn: Cybersecurity is not an option, it is a fundamental issue
The digitalization of services is a colossal development for Albania, but it comes with the risks of hacking. The use of American technology in this direction is a very good opportunity to have more protected networks. During an activity together with the American Chamber of Commerce, Chargé d'Affaires Nancy VanHorn has emphasized once again that sovereignty in the digital age is fundamental. In a post shared on the social networks of the US Embassy in Tirana, which puts cybersecurity in the foreground, it is stated:
“As Albania digitizes – from government services to banks and energy networks – cybersecurity is not an option. It is fundamental. It is about protecting sovereignty in the digital age.” -Charge d’affaires Nancy VanHorn at an event showcasing American technology in the field of cybersecurity.
