Albania and South Korea towards strengthening cooperation in AI and investments
Prime Minister Kim Min-seok met with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries, Kim's office announced, koreatimes.com reports.
Prime Minister Kim said he "looks forward to expanding exchanges and cooperation with Albania, noting that the Balkan country has appointed what is known as the "world's first minister for artificial intelligence (AI)," while South Korea also attaches importance to artificial intelligence and advanced technologies."
For his part, Prime Minister Rama emphasized that "South Korea is a source of inspiration for Albania in terms of national development and that the two countries have many similarities, as they have overcome difficulties and achieved economic development and democracy, even though they are geographically far apart."
"Albania is interested in strengthening cooperation in the fields of trade, investment and artificial intelligence," emphasized Prime Minister Rama.
The meeting took place while Rama visited Seoul to participate in an international conference.
