Albania, an attractive holiday destination - Godfather to private operators: Respect the 2.5-3m distance!
The British daily newspaper "Telegraph" has listed the Albanian coast in the list of the 10 best places in Europe for beach holidays. "Avoid the tourist-populated places and head for these stunning destinations," the article published in this newspaper reads.
But to welcome more vacationers and offer more public beaches and safety, Tourism Minister Mirela Kumbaro from Himara said that in this municipality, after actions to free up beaches, public spaces have almost doubled.
Kumbaro asked all private beach administrators to respect the 2.5-3 meter distance from the seafront as a public space, as well as coordination between the municipality and the National Coastal Agency.
He also requested the cooperation of the State Police to ease traffic during peak periods, especially on weekends.
The mayor of Himara, Vangjel Tavo, said that 250 municipal tents will be set up, which will be free for vacationers.
Minister Kumbaro, accompanied by the Minister of Interior, Ervin Hoxha; the Mayor of Himara, Vangjel Tavo, and the Director of Police, held a meeting with business entrepreneurs regarding the concerns raised by vacationers regarding noise pollution.
Regarding the State Police's plan of measures for the tourist season, Minister Hoxha said that this year, 95 new police forces have been added to Vlora, which will be distributed according to the needs for monitoring the beaches.
