Update on the list of expropriations for the New Port of Durres - 121 owners off the list, compensations over 815 million lek
The implementation of the "New Integrated Port of Durrës in Porto Romano" project has now entered another stage. The Official Gazette has published a list of 121 owners who will be removed from the expropriation list, because these assets are outside the scope of the project implementation for the first phase.
But, regarding the total preliminary value of the expropriation, from 821,355,192.40 (eight hundred and twenty-one million three hundred and fifty-five thousand one hundred and ninety-two point forty) lek, it will become 815,696, 300.40 (eight hundred and fifteen million six hundred and ninety-six thousand three hundred and forty) lek.
According to the publication in the Official Gazette, the persons affected by this project whose names are on the table and the persons affected but not appearing on these lists, no later than 15 days from the publication in the Official Gazette, have the right to present their claims, accompanied by the relevant documentation, as well as to express whether they agree with the published data on the completion of the expropriation procedures, at the Durrës Port Authority j.a., as well as at the State Agency for Expropriation.
This project is expected to be a significant investment for economic development and transport infrastructure in Albania, creating new opportunities for businesses and trade in the region.
