Albania-Kosovo-Croatia, 3 military exercises in 2026 - Vengu: In May, the uniform factory in Babrru will be ready
The trilateral defense cooperation between Albania, Kosovo and Croatia is underway, with three joint military exercises planned for this year, two in Zagreb and one in Albania. Another major ally, England, is expected to join these exercises.
During the most recent trilateral meeting in Munich, joint defense procurement and other strategic elements were also discussed.
"A meeting was held between the 3 Chiefs of Staff, Croatia, the KSF Command and Albania. In this meeting, all the details on the 3-year cooperation plan for the development of joint trilateral exercises were developed, and at the same time we agreed to invite other countries in the region to participate in these types of exercises. The 3-year cooperation plan consists of training, sharing experiences. Specifically, this year we will have two exercises in Zagreb and one exercise will be held in Tirana with the Special Forces of the 3 countries", said the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, regarding our military industry, Defense Minister Pirro Vengu stated that the construction of the factory in the Babrru area that will produce uniforms for the Armed Forces and the State Police will be completed in May.
"In April we have drones at the Autotractor Plant, in May the construction of the textile factory will be completed, work has begun on the construction of the factory in the Babrru area for the production of uniforms with the first ordered products, the production lines have arrived and the first orders have been placed and we aim to have the products initially for the State Police, which has an urgent element and we want to address it as soon as possible and the special units of the Armed Forces ," declared Vengu.
According to the Minister, the first ammunition is expected to be ready in July.
