How many military troops will Albania send to Gaza? - Chief of Staff: We have

Albania has agreed to send military troops to the International Gaza Stabilization Force within the framework of the Peace Board, but it has not yet been determined when, how much and how they will contribute specifically.

This was stated by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Arben Kingji, at a press conference, who emphasized, among other things, that talks between the headquarters of the member countries of the Peace Board will determine the ongoing progress.

"Albania has expressed its agreement to participate in the international stability force. Currently, we have declared our participation in the first phase with officers, in the headquarters that will be created for this purpose. At the same time, we are working with the allies on other details. We have not yet determined the exact number of participants, there is nothing concrete about this, but Albania has expressed its agreement ," said the Chief of Staff.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Pirro Vengu stated that, just like in previous missions, our forces operate under the authority of a larger ally, which in this case is the United States of America.

"We see this engagement in two phases, as the general said. Involvement with officers in the headquarters that organize the Force and as we have done in previous missions, whether in Iraq, Afghanistan or current NATO or EU missions, our forces operate within the umbrella of a larger ally and this is the logic that we will follow in this specific case ," emphasized Minister Vengu.

The first 5 countries of the Peace Board that confirmed that they would send military and police troops to Gaza as part of the peace plan and reconstruction of this war zone were Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Kosovo and Albania.
