Over 12 thousand workplaces under control - 667 entities inspected in January, 445 administrative measures
During January, the State Inspectorate of Labor and Social Services conducted 667 inspections in various entities, focusing on the implementation of legal obligations by employers and the protection of employee rights.
According to official data, 12,769 workplaces were inspected, while 130 advisory inspections were also conducted, oriented towards preventing violations and improving occupational health and safety conditions.
The controls carried out have identified violations of legislation, for which 445 administrative measures have been imposed. The measures relate to issues affecting the formalization of employment relationships, compliance with contracts and the implementation of safety standards in workplaces.
In parallel, during this period, 90 complaints filed by citizens and employees were handled, activating institutional mechanisms to verify the reported cases.
Meanwhile, during 2025, the Inspectorate inspected 9,532 entities, where 8,086 controls were carried out on a risk basis, while 963 inspections due to complaints, 1,269 activity suspensions, 4,191 warnings and 268 fines were registered.
As a result of the controls, 98% of the identified informal workers have been formalized, 2,538 new employees have been declared and they contribute around 28.3 million lek per month to the state budget from social and health insurance.
