From Fier, with the leaders of the Regional Directorate of Pre-University Education and Local Education Offices, the Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro held a coordination meeting. At the center of the discussions were measures to improve the quality in schools and strengthen discipline in the education system.

First, the minister said that the Code of Ethics for Teachers will be strictly implemented, to guarantee respect and professionalism in every classroom. Second, the order prohibiting the use of phones during class hours comes into effect, a measure that aims to bring attention back to books, learning and collaboration. And also, it was emphasized that schools will be turned into “Art and Craft” activity centers, where students can express their talents and create stronger connections with the community.

This coordination meeting, according to education leaders, is just the beginning of a new phase, where more importance will be given to quality, education and social inclusion. Fier and the southern region are setting an example that a modern school is not only a place of learning, but also a place of development, art and cooperation.
